International Women's Day Live

This is a poem I wrote in honor of International Women's Day 2022 that I performed at a variety show event at Jarvis Square Pottery in Chicago. It's a poem to uplift and offer gratitude to many women around the world who have made an impact in various ways.

Healers, leaders, organizers, artists, and many more. And for each person recognized, you could build a whole web of other women and people who also deserve recognition. It's a poem that focuses on each of our special lessons and gifts.

It's also a poem to remind each of us that we are enough, and can have a wonderful impact on the world simply through our kind actions each day. It's a poem to validate trans women and celebrate the vast gender spectrum of identities. It's a poem to shine a light on the various justice struggles women are facing around the world. A poem that highlights our differences and also what connects us. It's a poem to uplift those who inspire us and make our lives better. It's a calling to support one another, but also hold each other accountable. It's a dream to create a better future together by uplifting the most marginalized among us and creating something new.
